Act IV_made by the project team POLAND

After a few days of travelling, they finally reached Warsaw.

Beezy – Oh my God! What a huge city! Huge and beautiful!

Stinky – Have a look! Someone is waiting for us at the roof of that building. He is waving at us.

Bella – So let’s fly to meet him.

Copper Beecus1 – Welcome to Poland! My name is Copper Beecus and I have a letter for you Beezy. It is from your father.

Beezy – How do you know me?

CB (Copper Beecus) – I have been watching you for some time and yesterday I got a massage from Romania. Qeen Mother Nature told me that you would come to Poland with a mission to complete.

Beezy opens a letter and starts reading it

Beezy – Listen up! My father writes that he started a big charity action for bees living in Warsaw. Moreover, the plans to built a district, Honney Village, for them. It will be placed in the Łazienkowski Park, in the heart of the capital. He also indends to organise a sport event Bee-Chang2, to rise money for those hives.

Austin Waspin – Great idea! Let’s help them!

Beezy – But wait! There is something else! It is written with some strange letters.

Bella – Show it to us! It must be some sort of a code. For sure, it is a secret.

Beebee – It needs to be read reverse. I will try to  decode it. It says something like this:

Warning !!!

I have been followed by someone.

I feel he wants to disturb my plans.

If I do not appear on the Bee-Chang Olimpics

try to find me in Croatia, near Prelog City.

CB – At the beggining you have to make teams.

Waspin – Beebee and I will fly to Gdańsk, we will find Seabees near the monument on Westerplatte.

Beebee – I know this place! I have been there during my summer holidays. It is worth mentioning that over there World War II started.  Only one unit was defending it for 7 days against German tanks, aircrafts and Krigsmarine.

They surrendered only when they lacked ammo.

CB – Stinky, you fly to Cracow to the Wawel Castle. Find Dragonbees. They live near the Dragon’s Cave.

Stinky – What dragon3 is it?  Is it dangerous?

CB (laughing) – It is only a sculpture of a famous dragon, which was killed by a simple shoemaker. The boy saved the King’s City.

Beezy – And how about me? Where shall I fly?

CB – You will fly to an exceptional place – the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, the oldest mountains in central Europe.

There you will find Chęciny town and a small school in Bolmin. There are the headquaters of Whitebees

Beezy – How can I recognize this place?

CB – On the hill over the town there are the ruins of an old stronghold.

After the discussion about the details they all hit the road.

2 days later

All 3 teams with leaders met near the monument of Frideric Chopin4 in Łazienkowski Park.

Waspin – Poland is a beautiful coutry with clean lakes in Mazury5. Awesome!

Stinky – And I flew over the Vistula, the longest Polish river and saw Tatra Mountains. Charming and gripping region.

Beezy – Anyway, Chęciny is the best. Everone there loves bees and tries to help them. It is not safe place only for them, but also for other insects.

Bella (scared) – Have a look! Who is flying towards us? They look very fearsome. I’m frightened.

Beezy – Let’s run away!

CB and Waspin  - Do not be afraid girls! (to the newcomers) Who are you? What do you want?

Newcomers – We are The Blackbees and we want do take part in your Olimpics. We want to help our brothers build new homes for them. Can we join?

CB – Sure, why not? Sign in and talk to Beezy. She will tell you what to do.

After a solemn opening, the games started. Soon it turned out that the teams lack some vital equipment. To make matters worse, the team from Cracow lost the way during the race becouse of incorrect signs.

Beezy – Something bad is going on! The equipment is missing, someone changed the signs and there is still no trace of my father!

Waspin – Only Blackbees had no problems. I suppose that they had something to do with the missing of your father. Let’s follow them. They can lead us to him!

Beezy – So I, Waspin and Stinky will follow Blackbees, while CB and Bella will close the Olimpics and pay the building company. We will all meet in Croatia.

Bella – Do not worry! We will organise everything. Just go and do not leave Blacks alone!

Olimpics finished with great success. The money risen allowed to build many new hives for Warsovian bees.

  1. Copper Beecus – named after famous Polish astronomer Nicolas Copernicus who proved that the Earth goes around the Sun. It was a great revolution and the begginig of modern astronomy

  2. Bee-Chang – a name taken after a place of Olimpic Witer Games 2018 – PyongChang, Korea

  3. The Wawel Dragon – a mithical creature. According to the legand it lived under the Castle and was killed by a shoemaker Dratewka, who used a trap – the sheep filled with sulphur which killed hungry dragon

  4. Frideric Chopin – the most famous Polish classical composer, compared with Mozart and Bach.

  5. Mazury – region in northen-eastern part of Poland, famous for its lakes and swamps.
